Lea Regional is proud to be the first accredited Heart Failure Center in
the state of New Mexico! This accreditation, given by the Society for
Cardiovascular Patient Care. This accreditation means that Lea Regional
has met national best ptractices for the care of Heart Failure patients.
Lea Regional Medical Center is Lea County’s first and only Accredited
Chest Pain Center, and one of only six in the state of New Mexico. This
designation, given by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care (SCPC),
means that Lea Regional has demonstrated expertise in cardiac patient
care as measured by a wide range of stringent criteria. This level of
cardiac care is achieved by only 12% of all hospitals in the United

Commission. This rigorous process ensures that our lab is committed to
