Transitional Care Unit
The Transitional Care Unit at Lea Regional Medical Center provides restorative care to adults whose health and/or mobility has deteriorated due to an acute illness, surgery or injury. The Transitional Care Unit (TCU) offers an attractive, home-like environment, so that the resident's recovery is as comfortable as possible. Private and semi-private rooms are available, as well as dining and family and recreational areas. The philosophy of the TCU is to treat all aspects of the person's health - physical and spiritual. To do this, the following services are provided:

- Occupational Therapy
- 24-Hour Nursing Services
- Pastoral Services
- Resident/Family Education
- Social Services
- Discharge Planning
- Family Consultation
- Referral Assistance
- Dietary Consultation
- Activities Program
The Interdisciplinary treatment team of TCU meets weekly in care conferences to evaluate each resident's program. Transitional care services are provided to qualified patients.
