Rehabilitation Therapies

Optimum recovery from disease, surgery or accident frequently depends on your access to skilled rehabilitation.  At Lea Regional, our Rehabilitation Therapies Department offers Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy as a comprehensive approach to physical impairments. Our staff is well trained to care for patients of all ages and abilities with the common goal of achieving the highest level of independence and maximum function in each individual patient and his or her unique circumstances.  Services are available on the acute hospital floors as well as on an outpatient basis at Physical Rehabilitation Outpatient Services (PROS).  We also offer therpary services in the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility, where we have an 80% return-to-home rate, and Transitional Care Units. Our therapists have training in a variety of diagnoses and care including sports related injuries, industrial accidents/injuries, motor vehicle accidents, total joint replacents, spinal cord injury, cerebrovascular accidents (CVA's) funcitonal capacity evaluations (FCE's), neuromuscular impairments, burn/wound and communication impairments.
