Inpatient Rehabilition Facility

The primary mission of Lea Regional Medical Center's Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility is to aid patients in regaining as much independence as possible before returning home.  When patients are referred to the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility, they are considered by the physicians to be medically stable, have the potential to improve, and be able to start and maintain the rehabilitation program.  Using an interdisciplinary approach and intensive level of therapy to address rehabilitation potential, will address physical or medical problems; difficulties with activities of daily living, specialized problems with feeding, communication and self-care are also addressed in the program.

Lea Regional's Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility boasts an 80% return-to-home rate, which is the highest in the region.

Services are provided for patients with any of the following disabling conditions:

  • Stroke/CVA
  • Closed Head Injury
  • Neuropathy and Myopathy
  • Spinal Cord Injury
  • Peripheral Nerve Injury
  • Multiple Trauma
  • Hip Fractures and Replacements
  • Amputations
  • Polyarthritis
  • Degenerative and Progressive Neurological Disorders
  • Guillain-Barre
  • Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
  • Parkinson's Disease
  • Knee Replacement
  • Lumbar Laminectomy
  • Congenital Deformity
  • Neurological Disorders
