"The nurses here really listen and the care seems personal. All of the staff has been fantastic, from respiratory to lab, and even dietary and housekeeping. Everyone is really, really nice." - Sharon Sharts
"I was amazed by the teamwork from the doctors, nurses, and every department. If I hadn't been taken care of as well as I was, I would be in a nursing home instead of at home and independent." - Linda Koenig

“Being a doctor is fun! I love meeting every patient and building a relationship with them.” – Naishadh Mankad, MD, Internal Medicine physician at Zia Family Healthcare
"The nurses went above and beyond to make sure I was cared for and my visitors were comfortable. One nurse brought a pillow and a blanket for my daughter who stayed the night. It's the little things that make a difference." – Norma Gilbert
"My baby was born into a warm and supportive
environment right here at Lea Regional."
Having my baby at Lea Regional was a wonderful experience. The nurses were
so supportive it felt like having friends and family in the room helping me deliver.
They listened and encouraged me. And when Mabel was born, they took the time
to celebrate with us. You could see they truly love what they do. It's comforting to
know that when I needed great OB care, I was able to find it in Hobbs.
"I choose Lea Regional because I know the staff will take great care of us.”"
Both of my daughters were born at Lea Regional. During my
second pregnancy, I had to be admitted to the hospital twice
because of complications. I was thankful the nurses were so kind
and supportive – even once holding my hand to make sure I
didn’t feel alone. The doctors and nurses answered my questions,
handled my concerns, and really made me feel comfortable during
a scary time. My husband and I have only good things to say about
our experience at Lea Regional. The whole staff was wonderful.
“I choose Lea Regional because I’m such a big fan of this community and its people."
I’ve traveled to many places, but Hobbs is where I’m proud
to call home. Whether it’s taking my family out for pizza, or
cheering on the Eagles and Taskervitch band, I like being a
familiar face around town. I love being able to make a real
difference in people’s lives, and establishing relationships. In fact,
I’ve had many of the same patients for 15 years. And when they
need hospital care, I tell them to go to Lea Regional. There’s no
match in our community for quality, round-the-clock care.
"I choose Lea Regional because we've built a
team that stands together for our community."
I've been blessed to be part of the Lea Regional family for more
than 15 years. And as the Medical Director of the Mental Health
Unit, I can tell you that we have a great team who cares about our
patients as if they were family, too. Building on our core philosophy
of honesty, responsibility, care of self and care of others, we help
patients and families get back to living healthy lives. Lea Regional
has wonderful physicians and wonderful nurses, working together
to make families healthy. Lea Regional is Hobbs' hospital.
"The care I received at Lea Regional couldn't have been better."
When Norma Gilbert began having breathing issues because of a pre-existing heart condition, her cardiologist, Dr. Patel, sent her to the E.R. at Lea Regional Medical Center. "I had excellent care there," Norma says. She was especially impressed by how everyone at the hospital worked to keep her comfortable. "It was a wonderful experience." Today, Norma is feeling good and controlling her condition with medication. "Because of Lea Regional, I'm back out in my garden and back to my life.
