Description: Performs basic aspects of respiratory care, to include critical care and cardiopulmonary diagnostics.  The Respiratory Practitioner is responsible to provide respiratory care services in accordance with specific physician orders and department policies and procedures.  Also utilizes judgmental responsibility to give correct therapy to assess the effectiveness of therapy associated with therapeutic gases, aerosols and humidity, chest physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
Requirements:

Must be a graduate of an AMA approved program in Respiratory Care.

May be credentialed by the NBRC as a RRT or CRT.

Hold a valid license in the State of NM to practice respiratory care.

BCLS, certification.

The following: ACLS, PALS, NRP required within six months of hire.
